Welcome to the 2018-19 school year.
North Carolina graduation requirements require students to complete 3 credits in the following subject areas:
1 credit in Earth or Environmental Science
1 credit in Biology
1 credit in Chemistry or Physical Science
For these required subjects, Clover Garden School follows the North Carolina Essential Standards for their curricula.
Physics and Chemistry will be taught at the Honors level and according to the NC Essential Standards. Both of these courses will have a NC Final Exam at year end. Biology will be taught at the Honors level and according to the NC Essential Standards. Biology will have an NC End of Course (EOC) exam at the end of the year. Anatomy and Physiology is considered an elective and will cover key body systems. A&P is taught on the Honors level course and will have an end of the year Bostic generated cumulative final exam. AP Biology and AP Chemistry both culminate in a standardized AP Exam run by College Board.
Look for a rigorous year with emphasis on integrity, critical thinking and literacy.
